Day 10 began with an early sweat session at the gym at 7am with a hilly slow run warmup (that I had to bail on halfway because it was too much for my recovering body) and it had Paul gasping for air. We … Continue reading
I really don’t expect people to read this small novel…. I guess I had more to say about this than I had originally thought. -5am wakeup (&check weather) and tell James “happy birthday” -Breakfast: cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter … Continue reading
While I was working the early hours of the morning, I stumbled across a couple of interesting articles. I found myself justifying more coffee, thinking of my personal encounters with running and what I’ve learned, analyzing my sleep, and plotting … Continue reading
I have been MIA from my blog and my fitness facebook page and pinterest and instagram….. far more than usual recently. Life kinda took me by the hand and kept pulling me into a constantly moving direction. I’m really not complaining though. … Continue reading
I get that not everyone enjoys musicals but this 2 minutes and 30 seconds is really magical to me. I think this is my favorite performance from Glee thus far. Then again I love rain and umbrellas…. and Mr. Schuester. I hate the show for the most part. There are some really great lessons and amazing dance/song numbers that keep me watching it. I have a soft spot for musicals. Seriously. I just am a big sob box anyway. This show has jerked my tears so many times. Thank goodness I watch it alone. Haha. I find pure joy and happiness with this song. It comes from an episode about mixing up the old with the new… allowing yourself to cut loose while being classic/classy… I think I may have forgotten how to cut loose. I work, I eat, I sleep, and I workout. Maybe I need to sing in the rain…. under my umbrella?
WHAT DO YOU DO TO CUT LOOSE? HOW DO YOU LIVE A LITTLE?
For those who do not know… My brother is growing into a southeast ultra running beast. So when he asked me to save my long run for the Friday I was in town visiting, I did not hesitate to do … Continue reading
I thought I was crazy for considering an half-IronMan (since I can’t swim) and many think I’m crazy for having ran 50 miles……. A fellow blogger tells of the insanity of UltraMan…. “Pure grit and a love of endurance sports … Continue reading

Okay, so I am kinda mentally incapable of grasping the concept of the massive webbing of blogs and ways to follow all the different ones on different threads (that don’t just have the awesome little wordpress follow me buttons). I don’t understand how to get the image (for the Liebster award that Becky at Trails and Ultras has nominated me for… BUT I do know how follow directions (thank goodness this award comes with directions!)
First off let me go ahead and say how insanely thrilled I am to have been nominated for this little honor! That is so incredibly encouraging for me since I have only been blogging since Oct 1 of this year and am bumbling through this as best I can.
The rules for accepting your nomination are:
11 Random Questions
Here are my 11 nominations of pages that offer inspiration and incredible personalities to match. This took me a long time to compose. Some of these pages are new to me since I had to browse for less than 200 followers. I have read several posts and look forward to future posts from all of these. I found a way to learn how many followers a page had and I think it’s inconsistent and possibly correct. So I apologize to these people if they have more and I have mistaken. As I stated right off the bat, I’m kinda handicapped when it comes to this stuff.
Lastly, I have to come up with 11 questions.
There you have it folks! Thank you for your time. This has taken me days to prepare. But if you make it to this point you definitely have a better idea of who I am!
